People of Delhi and UP were suffering with fever and severe pain in joints mainly severe knee pain and extreme weakness followed severe painful/tender lower extremities mainly calf muscles and many of them are found tested positive for chikungunya.

Dengue and Chikungunya are mostly diagnosed on the basis of clinical symptoms because diagnostic tests are costly and at times not accurate. Physicians/people should keep leptospirosis {a bacterial disease caused by contact with water/mud/soil/foods contaminated by the urine of infected animals mainly rats) in mind when facing patients with fever, arthralgia, myalgia, and weakness in post monsoon and early winter season as this bacterial disease too occurs in the setting dengue and chikungunya fever and treatment line is quite opposite leptospirosis is bacterial disease.
