Persistent Joint Pain And Stiffness After Fever: Homeopathic Treatment

This year lots of people suffered with acute fever and severe joint pains and extreme weakness. Lots of them were diagnosed with Chikungunya, dengue fever, or leptospirosis and most of them were undiagnosed and were considered suffered from Chikungunya.

This year (2010) in late monsoon and early winter seasons lots of people got sudden high fever with severe joint pain and weakness with fainting spells. After recovering from this attack, lots of them remained with joint stiffness and joint pain and are wondering how these limiting pain and stiffness will go.

People are thinking that these problems are due to febrile attack that has caused permanent damage to the joint so it is still persisting. I got opportunity to treat some of such patients and came to notice that these people tend to develop high uric acid, which is certainly an explanation for these stiffness and pains.

People are being treated with pain medicines and vitamin supplements, herbal, ayurvedic, and homeopathic treatment with both success as well as failure.

I am telling here some homeopathic medicines for this condition, which I found useful for, post Chikungunya joint pains.

1. Lycopodium Clavatum

2. Sulphur.

3. Natrum Sulph.

4. Sepia.

5. Nux Vomica.

6. Calcarea Phos.

7. Arsenic Album.

8. Colchicum Autumnale

10. Agaricus Muscarius.

11. Chelidonium Majus.
